Etymology

("SYRIA" is generally the KJV equivalent of the HEBREW aram). This name is not to be confused with ASSYRIA, which appears 8 times in the ISAIAH sections of 2 Nephi in the Book of Mormon, whose heartland was in the northern and eastern areas of Mesopotamia.
