Biblical PN 1. Name of Satan before he fell (2 Nephi 24:12)

Note that “Lucifer” is not a transliterated Hebrew word but rather is the Latin interpretation of the Hebrew heylēl. The Latin means “light bearer;” the Hebrew is more complicated. For the etymology see the standard biblical commentaries.
