LUCIFER is a name given to SATAN mentioned once in the ISAIAH section of the Book of Mormon but not mentioned as a separate PN or GN in the Book of Mormon. Lucifer, meaning "light bearer," is the Latin Vulgate translation of the Greek Septuagint heosphóros, "bringer of dawn," which in turn is the Greek translation of the Hebrew hêlēl ben šaḥar, "shining one, son of the morning."
The title LUCIFER means “light bearer” in Latin, and is the Latin rendering of the HEBREW word הילל for "morning star," hêlēl in Isaiah 14:12.
