Etymology
This name appears to be an expanded form of the previous name, KUMEN, for which see the same. The element -onhi remains unexplained.
Nibley, ABM, 238, suggested reading Kumen-onhi, an EGYPTIAN-Hittite city name for Kumani.
Cf. Book of Mormon KUMEN, CUMENI, CUMENIHAH, et al.
