Variant spelling of JERSHON
Alma 27:22
- O: Jershur > Jershon
- P, 1830-1981: Jershon
Alma 28:1
- P: Jeshon
- Discussion: Spelled Jershur (perhaps because of preceding -er sound), then immediately corrected by Cowdery in O. This is the only time Jershon was ever misspelled in O; Cowdery only misspelled Jerson once in P, where in Alma 28:1 he spelled it as Jeshon.
