Etymology

KJV JOHN, Johanan, Jehohanan all = HEBREW יהוחנן yĕhôḥānān, יוחנן yôḥānān "Yahweh is gracious, Yahweh has been gracious, Yahweh has given grace, Yahweh has favored, shown favor to," (2 Kings 25:23; 1 Chronicles 3:15; 6:1-15 [ MT 5:27-41 ]; 12:4-5, 12-13; 26:3; 2 Chronicles 28:12; Jeremiah 40:7-8; A.
