Etymology

HOREB (from the Heb. horeb, "glowing heat") is the name of the mountain where, according to the book of Deuteronomy, the Ten Commandments were revealed to MOSES (Deut. 4:10, 15; 15:2; 9:8; 18:16) mentioned once in the Book of Mormon but not otherwise mentioned as a separate GN or PN in the Book of Mormon.
