This name may be an expansion of the biblical PN GAD (which see), and perhaps related to the PN [[GADIANTON]] (which see). It could be that the name is to be divided GADI-ANDI, in which the first part could have the 1st common singular possessive suffix and mean “my-good-fortune.” The last part of the name, -IANDI or -ANDI, remains unexplained.
