EMRON

Lehite PN Soldier, 4th c. AD (Moroni 9:2)

This PN may be a hypocoristicon of the Semitic vocabel אmr, “to speak,” and means “Word (of DN)” or “(DN) has spoken/promised/commanded.” See the biblical
Hebrew PN ‘mrō, “his command,” in Job 20:29 (RFS) and possibly from the same root* Imri and Omri, both mentioned in Chronicles 9:4 (JH).
