Etymology
The English word DEVIL is distantly related to diabolos, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word, ΕΔαΉΔn (see Job 1:6 in the Hebrew Bible and in the Septuagint). Diabolos means βslanderer, accuser.β Other names in the Book of Mormon for the DEVIL include SATAN and LUCIFER.
