Variant spelling of ANGOLA
P: Angolah
A: Angelah
1837: ANGOLA 1837 – 1981, RLDS 1908
Discussion: since both P and A have an h at the end, O must have had an h too. There are many names in the Book of Mormon that end in h. Angolah also looks more similar to other Book of Mormon names, although there is not a lot of evidence for one name over the other. Cowdery often wrote his o 's to where they looked like e 's, so the 1830 typesetter probably misread O.
Summary: Skousen accepts Angolah
