Lehite gentilic 1. 4 Nephi 1:17

Etymology

The gentilic ending "-ITES", reflecting the common Semitic nisba ending ī, functions as a substantive in its own right in the Book of Mormon, 4 Nephi 1:17: "There were no robbers, nor murderers, neither were there Lamanites, nor any manner of -ites; but they were in one, children of Christ, and heirs to the kingdom of God."

Variants

Deseret Alphabet: 𐐌𐐓𐐝 (aɪts)
