Angola / Angolah - Variant Spelling

- Mormon 2:4

1: Angolah

A: Angelah

1837: Angola 1837 – 1981, RLDS 1908

Discussion: since both 1 and A have an h at the end, 0 must have had an h too. There are many names in the Book of Mormon that end in h. Angolah also looks more similar to other Book of Mormon names, although there is not a lot of evidence for one name over the other. Cowdery often wrote his o's to where they looked like e's, so the 1830 typesetter probably misread 0.

Summary: Skousen accepts Angolah
