Lehite GN 1. Land, ca. 327 AD (Mormon 2:5)
Biblical PN 2. King of ISRAEL (2 Nephi 17:2, 13; 19:7; Jacob 1:15; 2:23, 24)

Etymology

DAVID never occurs in the Book of Mormon as a PN, but it is the GN of a land mentioned in the last years of the NEPHITE-LAMANITE wars of extinction. It was probably located somewhere in the northern part of the Land Southward.

Variants

Deseret Alphabet: π”ππšπ†π” (deΙͺΙ‘Ιͺd)
