Biblical PN 1. City near the Dead Sea (2 Nephi 20:28)

Etymology

AIATH is cited in the Book of Mormon as an ancient Near Eastern place name but is not given in the Book of Mormon as a geographical name in its own right.[1]

Variants

Deseret Alphabet: ๐ˆ๐Œ๐Š๐› (รฆaษชสŒฮธ)

Notes

  1. โ†‘ Reynolds, George, Dictionary of the Book of Mormon, 13, speculates that this is another name for the biblical city Ai. Kรถhler-Baumgartner's Lexicon gives the meaning of 'Ai as "heap of stones."
