Biblical PN 1. The son of ADAM (Helaman 6:27 (x2); Ether 8:15)[1]

Etymology

The Biblical PN CAIN, is mentioned only three times in the Book of Mormon with reference to the son of ADAM and EVE, and never as an individual Book of Mormon figure.

Variants

Deseret Alphabet: 𐐗𐐁𐐤 (keɪn)

Notes

  1. For the meaning of the PN CAIN, whose HEBREW form is Qayin, "metal worker, smith." cf. Arab. qayn, "craftsman, worker in steel, metal smith," Akk. qinay, "metal worker."
