Variant spelling of JENEUM
Joneum
- Mormon 6:14
- P: Jeneum >+ Joneum/Jeneum
- 1830-1907, 1911-1920: Joneam
- 1981: Jeneum
Joneam
- Mormon 6:14
- P: Jeneum >+ Joneum/Jeneum
- 1830-1907, 1911-1920: Joneam
- 1981: Jeneum
Discussion: Scribe 2 wrote Jeneum, but later corrected it to either Joneum or Jeneum (it is hard to distinguish between e and o here); the 1830 has Joneam. U's were often misread as a's, and -eum is an ending found elsewhere in the Book of Mormon, in NEUM and SHEUM.
Summary: Skousen accepts Joneum.
