Etymology
Until a possible language origin for JAREDITE can be determined, all suggestions for etymologies of JAREDITE names must remain more speculative than substantive.
No etymology is suggested.
It is doubtful that the biblical PNs Maachah and Maacah (though the spelling is different in English, in HEBREW they are the same, maʿakāh) because the “ain” of the HEBREW would not simply assimilate or altogether disappear. In addition, all the people with this name are female, where gender can be determined (JAT).
Variants
Deseret Alphabet: 𐐣𐐁𐐐𐐂 (meɪhɑː)
