Etymology
Perhaps the name comes from the EGYPTIAN gmgm, βsmash, tear up, break trees,β and nw, βcity,β to be compared with the city kipkip/kibkib (Coptic gibgib), βhacked up, destroyedβ (RFS). Nibley mentions the EGYPTIAN city kenkeme.[1]
