Etymology
AMMARON could be a variant of AMARON (see above). However, if the double m is to be taken seriously, then ΚΏm ΚΎrwn, βpeople of the ark,β is not impossible (JH), but hardly plausible.
AMMARON is also spelled AMORON (OM Alma 54:1) and AMMORON (OM and PM Alma 54:16, 23; 55:1β2; 56:18, 20; 57:1, 3; 59:7).
It is interesting that both AMARON and AMMARON were NEPHITE scribes/historians, though separated in time by many centuries (JAT).
