Etymology
BASHAN is the name of a region (located east of the JORDAN River and north of GILEAD) given as a land allotment to the tribe of MANASSEH (Numbers 21:33; 32:33; Deuteronomy 1:4; 3:1-14; 1 Kings 4:13) mentioned in the ISAIAH section of the Book of Mormon but not mentioned as a separate PN or GN in the Book of Mormon.
