Biblical GN 1. An ancient ISRAELITE place-name (2 Nephi 20:30 = Isaiah 10:30)

Etymology

LAISH is the name of an ancient town in the upper Jordan Valley mentioned once in the ISAIAH section of the the Book of Mormon but not mentioned as a separate PN or GN in the Book of Mormon. LAISH was taken by members of the tribe of Dan and renamed Dan (Judges 18:14-31).
