COMNOR Jaredite GN Hill (Ether 14:28) No etymology is suggested. As stated in the introduction, it is not productive to assign Semitic etymologies to Jaredite names. Nevertheless, both kūm, to arise, and nūr, light, have been suggested, with the attendant meaning, “arise O light” (JAT). Cf. Book of Mormon Kimnor, Com
