Biblical DN 1. The Messiah of the world (2 Nephi 10:3; Moroni 10:33)

Christ is the English form of the Greek christos, "anointed," from the Hebrew mašīah of the same meaning. CHRIST refers to the mortal Jesus (2 Nephi 25:26) or to Jesus as the "Savior" or "Redeemer of the world". (Jacob 7:9)
