Biblical GN 1. An ancient ISRAELITE place-name (2 Nephi 20:30 = Isaiah 10:30)

Etymology

LAISH ליש is the name of an ancient town in the upper Jordan Valley mentioned once in the ISAIAH section of the the Book of Mormon but not mentioned as a separate PN or GN in the Book of Mormon. LAISH was taken by members of the tribe of Dan and renamed Dan דן (Judges 18:14-31).
